Screenprinting T-Shirts

medium: screenprint

This is an older Buddha design screenprinted on t-shirts sold at the Blueberry Arts' Festival in Ketchikan, 2009. I cut the design out of wax paper, overlaid it on the shirt, put the mesh screen on top of the design, and then pushed the ink (fabric paint) through with a hard piece of rectangular plastic. Remove the mesh and wax paper and you've got a permanent design on your shirt! (after everything dries you need to iron it, and then wash the shirt to set the ink)
